So, I volunteer out here. All the people are super friendly. It's a non-profit organization. But they work with all kinds of wonderful people, the riders are awesome and the animals are beautiful giants. I highly recommend this place.

What a special place. It’s a win for the animals, and win for the volunteers, a win for those with needs attending. The best thing about it is the passion all those who serve have for the place.

It's been over 30 years ago that I had the Privilege and Honor to Volunteer my time at this Therapeutic Center.I am very thankful and pleased that it's still operating and providing a much needed service.

From Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association (CATRA)

Since 1985 CATRA has offered an opportunity for Capital Area residents from all generations with all types of special and typical needs to establish an atmosphere of support, respect, and health in an equestrian farm environment while offering a therapeutic riding experience to those able to benefit from it. Therapeutic riding is beneficial for individuals who present with any of a wide range of cognitive, physical, and emotional conditions. including individuals with Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, blindness, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and many other conditions.
