Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association (CATRA) is a non-profit organization that offers a welcoming and caring environment for both animals and people. This place does a wonderful job. My son goes here for Horse Therapy and he loves it! They have all kinds of horses, dogs, cats, ducks, chicken, goats and a donkey. They have mostly volunteers working and they're great. If you like helping others they are always looking for more volunteers. If you can't volunteer then go to their website and donate a few dollars. Anything helps!
My sister and I were visiting our grandma from out of town and were eager to find a place where we could pet horses and explore a farm. We were referred to CATRA by a local farm, the Mum Farm. When we arrived, Jen, the barn manager, was incredibly kind and allowed us to pet the horses and tour the farm. We are so grateful for the experience and made a donation to support the wonderful work being done at CATRA. It was an incredible farm visit, and we are truly thankful.
So, I volunteer out here. All the people are super friendly. It's a non-profit organization. But they work with all kinds of wonderful people, the riders are awesome and the animals are beautiful giants. I highly recommend this place.
