“A Funeral Home is one of these unexpected businesses, better yet, institutions, where people have to go when the unexpected happens. No one likes to think about the end of life and yet it is about the only permanent thing in life. Finding a good funeral home is key to the grieving process as well as ensuring a good departure for the loved one. My partner's mum passed suddenly on the return from our vacation to my mountain home. A shocker to everyone. The way our society has it scheduled, the process of grieving has to be done hand-in-hand with the business transactions that accompany dealing with an undertaker. My partner's family went with this funeral director through a recommendation and it was a great recommendation for sure. They handled my grandmother's funeral...my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family...my father...and now my mother. John Ashcraft now runs the funeral home that his father ran.
