“In July of 2023 there was an all day rain with heavy downpours. For the first time in the 47 years we have been living in our house we had major water damage which ruined the carpet in our finished family room. We thought this was an anomaly and had no further water damage from subsequent rains until mid-January 2024 when there was a similar rain event producing major water entry into our house again. We began researching drainage and foundation repair companies and ended up calling Isbir Construction & Landscape Corp. Mike Isbir was very thorough and nice to work with. After agreeing on a contract his crew started on a Monday. Mark Miller was the supervisor and he had a crew of four able bodied and hard working young men. Mike Isbir showed up every morning before the work began and detailed for us all that the crew would be working on that day. We needed re-grading of the land in the front and back of our house and on the left side, a new porch and stepped walkway and a new back patio with a Versa-Lock wall on one side. Work proceeded Monday and Tuesday and the crew tarped all the unfinished work areas Tuesday before leaving because rain was forecast for Wednesday. The rain did come Wednesday and it was all day with at least two periods of heavy downpours, and the water found its way around and under the tarps and we had water entry again. When Mike and the crew arrived Thursday morning we explained what happened and Mike was very apologetic and immediately got to work trying to recreate the water entry using a garden hose. He and Mark found the main points of entry which allowed Mark and the crew to know exactly where the most remediation was needed. They worked all day Thursday and Friday, finishing their work on Friday. We had an all day rain event that Sunday and I am happy to say we were dry. Thank you Mike, Mark and crew. “Scott and Joel from Pleasant Hills Plumbing are fantastic! They installed a stackable washer dryer in a closet for me and their work was exceptional. This project included running new plumbing from the basement up into the closet as well as an exhaust pipe for the dryer out through the side of the house, and also required finagling the unit into a really tight space. They worked quickly and efficiently and had a great rapport with each other. They came prepared with drop cloths and also left all areas clean and tidy at the end of the project. Scott was also a great communicator—he showed up when he said he would and also responded quickly to texts. They were able to find the proper piece of equipment I needed but also warned me about using that item with my current plumbing in my residence. They outlined the cons of my intended use. I decided to not use the purchased product as a result of that conversation. It would have been very easy for them to just sell me the part, but they engaged me in dialogue to help problem solve for the best possible outcome. Their prices were reasonable, but the discussion regarding the pros and cons probably saved me at least $400 that would have been needed to replace the damage using the part would have cost.
