“Today was my first time at this salon and I love it when I came in we instantly sat down to do a consultation to talk about my hair goals and how we will work to achieve them and what we will be doing today with my hair. I instantly felt calm, relaxed and family vibes. The wash and steam was amazing it wasn’t too rough but just right then when it was time to trim she explained how much hair she was going to trim. “Went for my first ever facial, and it was a fantastic experience! Extremely relaxing, and Ruthie couldn’t have been nicer. She explained each step to me and helped give me insight to how to care for face being a very minimalist with self care. She didn’t over whelm me with products, even when I wanted to buy more things she explained why I should start small at first then build on my routine as I gain better habits and routines. She explained the basics and it made so much sense and I was almost embarrassed at 40 I didn’t already know these things! She also explained how ingredients are so important in skin care products, to be weary of TJ Max and those types of places when it comes to products due to potential quality or expiration concerns which again makes perfect sense.100% recommend even if your not a girly girl who “cares” about how you look. “I am a male customer who has been getting my haircut from Jackie since before Roots opened up, back when the girls worked at a different Salon. It's a small operation with only 3 employees, but they are all incredibly friendly and will give you a great cut.In terms of pricing, they are very reasonable for a Men's cut, more so than most stylists in the area. I used to go to a different salon before they priced themselves out of my range. The girls at Roots also do a great beard trim, they will trim your eyebrows (something most guys like myself neglect), and Jackie will hit the problem areas on the back of my neck with a straight razor so it doesn't grow back so quick.You will not be disappointed getting your haircut here.“

She has undone all of my previous bad haircuts and hair coloring and has worked with me to style my hair and integrate my incoming gray without my becoming yellow through highlights and low lights. Her thoughtful and creative advice on hair coloring, shampoo and hair masks has been extremely helpful and has improved the condition of my hair and my "look". She is just awesome! “Is it possible to give more than 5 stars?! Cristina is an amazing makeup artist. She did my makeup (bride) and my mother-in-law's for my wedding. We both looked stunning, if I do say so myself.Normally, I don't wear foundation and I dread having my makeup done because my skin feels so itchy. Cristina is an actual wizard and my skin felt great all day/night (over 14 hours in it, I think), as if I weren't wearing any makeup at all. I look flawless in my photos but I also didn't look overly made up in real life. Simply put: she looked at the photos I showed her and did my makeup even better than I possibly could have imagined.My mother-in-law never wears makeup and I think was a bit apprehensive about being in the spotlight during the wedding. But... she was radiant and I can tell she felt that way, too.
