I loved my eye shadow, eyeliner is something I would typically never do but it looked great!, the clusters helped fill in my lash lift, and all the products were clean. “I moved to Monongahela 3 years ago and before that I was getting my balayages done in Pittsburgh at an extremely expensive price. Due to the price and the sheer distance I wanted to find a stylist closer to home. I had heard of a place around the corner from me and the photos looked promising so I crossed my fingers and went. Well as you can see it didn’t turn out well AT ALL. My hair was fried, orange and uneven. I didn’t think it could be fixed. … But I did a lot of research on color correction and Susan Jo’s Salon kept coming up as one of the best. I called them told them my concerns and immediately they asked me to send in photos and within 2 days I was in with Lauren. Who BTW was the stylist I was hoping to get because she has done so many color corrections, and from the reviews everyone was saying how great she was at it. Now I am in agreement 100%. I will NEVER EVER go anywhere else. The staff is amazing. The atmosphere was fun. The price is beyond fair. I can’t say enough about them. Just look at the pictures they speak for themselves

“Let me start by saying that Mara is an absolute Gem! My hair was in desperate need of a refresh ( needed a cut and my highlights were way grown out) she was so knowledgeable and asked me questions about what I was looking for in my balayage and cut that no one has ever asked me before. The final look was better than I could have expected the color was blended perfectly. It was absolutely perfect and I could not be happier. On top of all of that Mara is so nice and friendly. “Let me start off by saying that I have a cosmetology mom with 40+ years of experience and I have been exposed to so many salons in the area, so I know a good salon when I see one. The Lab has truly blown me away. From the consultation process alone that I had on the phone I was given a pricing quote. Never in my life have I ever been given such transparency with pricing at a salon before even stepping foot in it. The quote I received was almost exactly what I paid when I was finished with my hair. This rarely ever happens to me. The consultation was also thorough as they asked for my hair history and truly cared to keep my hair healthy. Lindsay is incredible. I have been to so many hair stylists, none of them have ever taken the time to massage my head, ever. As a matter of fact, most of the stylists i’ve been to pawn me off for an assistant to wash my hair. That is not the case here, if you book with a stylist they are your stylist the entire time which is rare to find. I also would spend hours at other places and dread going because how packed the salons were and I would get anxious, this is not the case at The Lab. The music is good it’s not very loud, it’s a very relaxing space I love the plants and black and white aesthetic they have going on. Lindsay made my entire appointment a very luxurious experience that I fell asleep while she washed my hair and massaged my head and neck. I have also never been happy with blow outs I was given in the past, Lindsay gave me one of the best blow outs I have ever had, blew me away (literally). I would 110% recommend this salon, it is peaceful, professional, and luxurious. I cannot wait to come back for my next appointment!“
