Called on 8/15 to make an appointment needing to be seen as soon as I could .Explained to the young lady who answered the phone "Bella" what I was told at my last visit to their office 7/24 . If I was experiencing the same symptoms again to call to be seen . Again broken eye vessels pain around my socket headaches this is now more frequent than ever . She supposedly squeezed me in for the Allentown office called to confirm my appt 8/16 according to the young man that answered I'm not on the schedule better yet they do not accept my insurance. How can someone just pretend to schedule an appt disregard my concern unreal . My next move is the ER which I'm sure they will recommend to see an eye doctor this was so unprofessional on this young ladies end.

I believe this physician does not even deserve one, star, but that is the least I could chose. DX: Hx Migraines; Hashi Yesterday, I went to see this Dr at the recommendation of another Ophthalmologist in the area that was booked and unable to see me as a new patient. This office scheduled me for that morning. I go in, and it's typical across the board. Nothing special, but not a bad setting either. The staff was pleasant and I about 20 minutes before a staff member (who did not introduce herself or identify her position there), took me into a room to get the medical hx, all very normal stuff, then I was taken back to an exam room, where I waited approx 40 min for the Dr. During my wait and given I was on my 4th day of a Migraine (longest for me to date) and extremely painful eye pressure, I turned the light off and patiently waited, and waited. When the doctor entered he walked towards me, and I being a respectful woman, extended my hand for what I expected was an introduction by the Dr. That never happened, so I withdrew my gesture. I was greeted with the Dr (looking disheveled and a very very bad tupee on) getting about 6-8" in from and said curtly "I cannot examine you with the light off. I was a little taken back by his lack of personality and his comment, but replied "No problem, I just have a migraine so I turned it off while I waited". I then asked about parking in the area as I only put enough in the meter for one hour and I believe I was well beyond that time. He asked "What? Do you want a quarter?" I knew now, this guy had a beef and I was not going to figure out what it was, so I sternly replied "I have my own quarters and no, I am more concerned about the parking ticket. Needless to say, he turned the light on, came back and read out loud what his assistant had previously written regarding my statement, which I confirmed was accurate, all while keeping my head resting on my hands. He said "If you want me to treat you then answer my questions." I looked up and an assistant came in, again, not identifying herself or her position, but she sat down. I was very confused. I said, "I am not sure what the problem is, but I am trying to answer you the best I can?" He said "do you wear contacts?" I replied "yes" he asked if I was wearing them, I said "Yes", and put my head back down. He then apparently asked what brand but I could not make it out so, as a question (as I would say to anyone if I do not understand them) I replied "I'm Sorry" and he bucks up and said "I cannot treat you if you are going to be condescending and not answer my questions!!" I said "I was responding with a question and said "I'm sorry, as if to imply I need you to repeat yourself" I did not understand the question. I wear contacts, (gave rx) and glasses although the glasses are not my current RX but a year or so old, I am not sure how to respond to you." He assistant restated my answer "So you wear contacts and glasses, but what you wore in is not the most current rx?" Yes, I confirmed. He then asked why I am being so difficult and why I can't simply answer a question. I then became very upset and said "I am not sure what the problem is or how we start over but I can tell you, I have had a migraine for 4 days, my head feels like it is in a vice and my eyes feel like someone is pushing them into my head. If I am not responding in the tone you expect, you will have to bear with me as I am not feeling well and in a great deal of pain here." He simply replied "Ok, let's start over. Why don't you just tell me how to treat you?" I looked at him in bewilderment and his assistant and said "What? This is F-ing ridiculous! I am leaving and contacting my insurance company". He boasted "This appointment is over." and I stormed out of the room, went to my car (no parking tix) and immediately called my insurance company to file a Quality of Care grievance.
