“I am a first time guest that has a friend that goes to this salon so I looked up the number and called to book my appointment.

Joe was my stylist. He was great and gave me exactly what I was asking for. We had a lot in common and had great conversation so the visit was enjoyable.

This is more my fault than anything, but I was not expecting a long cut to be $80. I have had a previous colleague or a family member cut my hair the past few years so I've only been paying around $30 + a nice tip. I know that's low but I figured a cut wouldn't be more than $50-65. I almost called back to ask but I incorrectly assumed pricing would be reasonable.

Let me tell you, I clenched my butt cheeks when I checked out and she told me my trim was $80. I proceeded to ask my long-haired gals in PA what a fair market value is for a standard long hair cut/trim. I received the responses of: $45, $50, $60, $65.

I would take off another star simply because the pricing is WAY too much for the value (at least for my needs, anyway). However, it is my fault for assuming pricing would be reasonable and not having asked when I booked or calling back to ask about pricing. I also just looked after the fact and see that pricing online is $65+ for a woman's cut.

It is totally my fault for not asking/checking pricing online, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that has encountered sticker shock when checking out for my services here.

That being said, Joe you were fantastic and I told you I would be back, but unless I am in a pinch, I will be looking for somewhere else local to find my permanent new stylist.“

“I was done straightening my hair … which I’d done for most of my life - over 40 years. I walked in with a vague idea of what I thought my hair could do and walked out in utter disbelief that my hair was actually that curly and full of volume & movement.

Janaya is a master of her art… she gets curly hair and showed me what is possible. I love her passion for what she does and her ability to see beyond the rats nest that was my hair! Bravo Janaya… I love it.“

“I came to Plush via a recommendation from my mom. In short, I went to a different salon for highlights that didn’t turn out the way I liked them , so I went looking for a salon to correct my hair. I booked my appointment with Cloey and she nailed it! The salon itself is beautiful , open with a lot of natural lighting and I can tell from my experience the stylists take their time with consultations, listen to their clients and are genuinely there to provide the best service and product that they can. My only regret is not taking before and after pictures because it’s not an exaggeration to say Cloey completely changed my look within a few hours 10/10

“I got my hair cut by Ashley and she did an amazing job. I have pretty curly hair and she cut it dry, working with me to create a style when I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted. Then, after being incredibly patient, she told me to come back after a week if I had anything I wanted to modify about the haircut. I took her up on that and couldn’t be happier with the final result. I had a tough time with past hair stylists giving me traditionally feminine haircuts, Ashley 100% understood the vibe and helped me feel more comfortable and confident. Definitely will be returning in the future. Sidenote, they have a very cute salon dog. Highly recommend.“

“Stylist: I had my first visit to Bawse last week. I requested sylest Olivia based on other reviews. I was beyond thrilled with my new cut and highlights. She was very attentive to what I requested via photos I'd saved. It's a smaller salon and the atmosphere of all the women working that evening was light and fun. Like getting your hair done in your best friend's nicely decorated living room. The staff seemed to genuinely like their job and one another. I will definitely be back. The staff is so nice and helpful(and they have two adorable kitty cats that are just so friendly!) and I was checked in on if I was comfortable with what was going on and if I had any sensory problems and need accommodation. I’m definitely going to be regular here going forward!
