I first want to state I've worked for a funeral home (serves 675-800 families a year) for 10 years. Never in that time have I experienced such unprofessionalism as I did at Vaia. Our beloved aunt was there for her pre-arranged services. From the moment we saw her we were appalled at what they had done to this beautiful lady. Honestly, she looked like a chipmunk. Big puffy cheeks & protruding mouth. Absolutely nothing like when she had died.They had her sitting up on several pillows, looking very unnatural. What a terrible way to remember our loved one. The embalmer should be fired. When we arrived for services, Mr. Vaia was dressed in pants, a polo shirt and casual shoes....read full review
My husband died unexpectedly a year ago. The Vaia Family went above and beyond my expectations with their kindness, compassion, gentleness and attention to detail. They made the most unbearable time a little less so. Three days ago was the anniversary of his death. A single rose with some greenery in a vase was delivered to me with a card saying that they remembered and hope I am doing OK. I am so grateful!
Vaia Funeral home is top notch. Both my parents and more recent, my father in law had their viewings here. The place is very well maintained and the director, Flash, was very professional and guided us through the viewing and the burial process. My husband and I will definitely pre plan our final wishes with Vaia.
