“We have been taking my 12 year old son to Dave since he was 2. He won't let anyone else cut his hair. My son was very difficult as he has a lot of sensory issues but Dave is amazing with him. He has gotten better with age. He cuts my Dad's hair as well. It is a shop that is very welcoming and they are super kind and patient. He's also super affordable.“

Long review: Due to balding I haven’t needed a barber for years. I had been taking my son to one of the chain spots nearby and as he got older he didn’t appreciate the inconsistency in the cuts he was getting. He was very upset one time when a stylist at the chain store didn’t listen to his request and cut him very short. I promised to find him a real barber shop. After reading many reviews we decided to try Straight Ahead Barbershop. They offer online booking but we decided to walk in because we weren’t sure which barber to choose.

They took him right away. Jim was his barber and he gave a phenomenal, award worthy cut. I was watching from the sidelines and really enjoyed watching him and all of the barbers work. They all looked like masters of the trade. It was a really good atmosphere.

“I had three haircuts. The first one was excellent and exceptionable.The second one was very relaxing.Had shampooing hot tyle and shave. Outstanding results
This last haircut only was cut too short on the sides. Other than than that on a scale 1-10 I would say it was about a 5 with 10 being excellent. Will try again in 3 weeks to let it grow in.

Hair type: He had not been here for two years of growing hair into a pony tail. No problem. He did an amazing job of cleanup and trim. Not an easy task in my observation but an easy one for Lando. All barbers were involved because yes I was there to as I said supervise!

A slight trim. And shaved the neck base. Amazing!!! My son also goes to Lando and does a custom cut that is perfection!“

“I started going to PJs shop a few years ago and haven't gone anywhere else since then. I drive approx. 15 miles to get my hair cut at this shop and it's worth it. He's a really nice guy who's clearly part of his community, based on all the interactions he has with everyone. He's really great with kids and although he remembers pretty much how you always want your hair cut, he still confirms every time. I definitely recommend All American. Even if you're a bit out of the way, it's still a nice, scenic drive. Also, the shop cat likes making friends.“
