I came to here to kill some time and get my nails filled while my husband was in a meeting. We are not from the area, so I'm not familiar with the good places to visit. I was debating on not even going in after reading the other reviews of the place, and I shouldn't have. I paid $40 for a simple fill, no design, no polish, just a white French tip, that is less than stellar....My nails are now thick and the whites are super uneven. They look like press on nails. They were not busy at all, but I waited about 20 minutes for my turn. The waiting area has chipped chairs and the walls were chipped also. On the polish wall, there was nail polish stains everywhere. The stations were small and crammed. The people were friendly, but didn't go out of their way to make me feel special. A lady beside me must have ask for a massage and they put a pillow on top of the nail station, had her lay her head on it and massaged her right there beside me. It was really creepy. They were kind enough to give me a small, warm, bottle of water...right off a wall ledge.....lol.....I will try a different spot if I'm ever out that way again.
This location is not closed. My mother and I went here yesterday... I had a regular manicure with polish done. By this morning, it was chipped so badly I had to take it off. No, I didn't didn't do anything aggressive to them. The only thing I had done since I left the salon was go to the Pirates game and back home. Literally half of the polish was gone! Anddd. Immediately after leaving the salon, I noticed my polish was bubbly and my nails were filed crookedly. My mother had a nexgen manicure. Bubbly. Damaged her cuticles. And did not apply the product all the way down to the cuticles.
AWFUL. I wish I would have read these reviews before wasting $35 (plus tip). I walked in around 5 on a Friday after work and stood at the front desk.. No one greeted me at first but finally a woman came over and pointed to a work station.. I sat down and told her I'd like a gel manicure. She asked what color I wanted and I pointed to several swatches *all light/pale pink)... She went through them one by one and said "no.. you don't want this! you don't want that one.. that one is see through.. that one is no good" which was super annoying, because frankly, if the colors are crap- why are you even using them? A paying customer should be able to get what they WANT. I ended up going with a dark, almost burgundy color because I felt so rushed. She seriously had me in and out of the salon within 25 minutes. When I got to the car and examined my nails closer, I could see that because she was painting them so quickly, the paint job was AWFUL. the gel polish wasn't even covering all of my nails and there were bubbles on other nails. If I hadn't been in such a rush, I would have gone back in to complain. Honestly, I wouldn't even want them to re-paint them because I have zero faith that would do a quality job. Within 4 days 8 out of 10 nails were lifting and began peeling off. What a huge disappointment. Not sure how this place stays in business.
