“The therapy I received from Nikki at the PTI was so helpful in alleviating the pain and swelling I had been experiencing in my knees. At the start of my sessions, I was unable to bend or straighten my knees completely, but after working with Nikki and her support staff for about 4 weeks, the pain and swelling was gone. Plus, I felt much stronger and was able to return to my yoga classes and get down on my hands and knees to play with my dog again. Upon “graduation,” the therapists showed me how easy it was to do some of my stretches (that normally require a second person) at home so I could continue to stay strong and limber.The atmosphere in the Warrendale office is so laid back - occasional bantering between therapists, staff and other patients is a commonplace - but at the same time, was structured enough to make me feel as though I was receiving the individualized care and guidance that I needed. I always left with a smile on my face and a feel-good attitude. That made me look forward to my weekly sessions. They actually make physical therapy fun!
