I've been using this accountant for about 10 years. This year I questioned a few things on my tax return and asked that he go back and check a few years ago about a child tax credit question. He became bent out of shape and said "For as long as I have had a working tax relationship with you, I cannot recall a time where there has been this much "doubt" in the tax return I have prepared for you in terms of multiple emails and questions which amount to what I feel is a lot of wasted time and nonsense." This was unprofessional and condescending, as I have every right to questioning my tax returns. In addition, he said he was going to charge me more for my questions. I don't know any other service provider that would treat his customer like this. He has now threatened me with a legal professional if I share my story about him on social media. He stated, "I do not want to make this a legal issue, however, if you continue and you do anything harmful to my business I am telling you it will be." I have every right to share my positive or negative experiences with people I do business with to help others make a more informed decision.
