“It's a great place to meet new friends and learn off each other and have great instructors Jackie and Mr. Dwyer they're great you can learn a lot from them“
“Our daughter absolutely loves this place, we have been members for about a year, she looks forward to attending classes twice weekly. Not only has she improved her overall physical strength, but has learned new self discipline, self awareness, and accountability. Staff members are very professional and engaging. Thank you for being part of this community!“
“Learning karate at AmKor has been great for my teen. The school offers beginner classes for older students and adults, which is terrific. It’s a disciplined atmosphere focused on learning, yet so friendly and welcoming. My child feels confident and valued in the diverse community, and she learns something new and exciting in every class!“
“Nackord Karate is the BEST. They give attentive attention to each child making them feel special and confident. My daughter Sadie is now OBSESSED and wants to go everyday. Great instilling the fundamentals for self control, self defense, and respect.“
“We came to Action Karate by way of their after school programs at my children’s school. The family friendly environment and consistent reinforcement of character and discipline have been wonderful. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. They provide opportunities for continued growth and they always celebrate the accomplishments of the students whether tots or adults. Not only has my son committed to the black belt process, my husband has as well! It is a wonderful community to be a part of.“
“Personal Power Martial Arts is a special place! The instructors are welcoming and caring. The classes are interesting and fun. The program builds confidence and self esteem. We have been very happy!“
“My two boys have been going to Master Taekwondo for almost a year and really enjoy training under Master Phil. Having come from another Taekwondo studio in another state, we have been very pleased with the no-nonsense approach here. This is a great place to learn and develop...while having fun. I highly recommend Master Taekwondo.“
“Adrian attended a birthday party and we signed him up to see if karate was something of interest. We haven't looked back since. It has been a great experience for him. Go Orange!“
“Great place to learn and have fun. Been going here since 97. Me Pope and his staff are personal and knowledgeable.“
“The instructor is very knowledgeable and highly skilled in the traditional and self defense aspect of karate. Students are very fortunate to have the instructor like this.“
“I have trained with Richard Robinson sensei for over 20 years, and have visited his dojo when I am in PA many, many times. This is a great place to learn and train in martial arts. Robinson sensei has Black Belts in multiple styles, and is a most talented instructor in Nami ryu Aiki Heiho. The folks in the dojo are great to train with. There are a handful of instructors who share decades of experience in this dojo. If you like swords, jujutsu, and samurai lore, and live in the Philly/Ft. Washington area, you want to check out the River of Life Martial Arts \\u0026 Wellness Center.“
“The yoga instructor Adele is absolutely fabulous. She has such a calming voice, and she holds space beautifully!!“
“IF FIRST IMPRESSION IS IMPORTANT THEN I WILL TELL YOU, SENSEI AND HIS STAFF ARE PROFESSIONAL, ENGAGING AND SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR ART. MY GRANDSON WILL BE A STUDENT TO THEIRS AND HE IS VERY EXCITED TO GET STARTED AND LEARN THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. NO TV STUFF.“
“This journey, if you choose to take it, is a life changing one.For me, getting into the Intermediate class is when I really got the high of jiu-jitsu, becuase thats where essentially all sparring happens and you really start getting in touch with the art, the people, and the work. Really loved it but I got a concussion during a very intense standing spar (not very common in this sport). Being a grad student, this was really bad, but Phil and the team listened to what happened and helped me out.“
“Nothing but the best to say about this place and its team. I have known Jake for a longtime. He Would go out of his way for anyone. I enjoyed training with him when I was involved, and have always told people that want to get started to go there. He welcomes everyone and knows how to train at every level from beginning to advanced, keep killing it I’ll be back one day.. ??“
“Master Smith and his crew are so good with the kids. Real glad these guys are around adding value to the community and having such a positive impact on everyone. If you have a child interested in martial arts, you have to check out this dojo.“
“Our 7 year old son has been going for over a year to Pro Martial Fit and he loves it. It really has improved his coordination, confidence and self esteem. He’s not quite ready to take on the neighborhood bully yet, but the messaging of being a considerate, helpful, polite, grateful human being has definitely rubbed off.“
“Awesome, knowledgeable and patient instructor. Sensei D can train you very well. Highly recommended!“
“Great dojo! Everyone is super nice, helpful, and very patient with new members. I love this place!“
“It is simply wonderful. They take 80 dollars per month and every week you can attend 6 classes so you can make your kids busy .My kid enjoy the classes here. He recently got his black belt too ? . If you pay for your kid it is free for mom and dad . The instructors are really great and strict . On a whole this is the best place .“
“We absolutely love ECKI ! My oldest son has been going there for a few months and enjoys the challenge of learning a new skill. The instructors are absolutely phenomenal with their gentle guidance of the students. My daughter recently joined as well because we enjoyed it so much!I love that they are helping instill confidence, dedication and other important core values. I can not recommend this studio enough if you are looking for an activity for your child/ren. Absolutely wonderful team!!“
“A judo dojo where a 63-year old is welcomed and feels healthier than ever after 6 months of training must be something special. MLJ has a friendly atmosphere where you can learn judo at your own pace. The instructors don't teach only techniques but also safety so you can come back for more. Join us.“
“Master Jasper Silvis runs this Wing Chun Academy. He is an energetic, highly knowledgeable and kind teacher that challenges you to do your best while also providing you support and complimenting you along the way.Si-fu Jasper has created such a welcoming, positive, challenging, and fun environment that I always look forward to coming to class.I look forward to coming to class every time because I know that Si-fu Jasper is going to take his time to expertly explain the moves which we are learning and go into detail about how they are used and why.The techniques which we are being taught vary greatly, are perfectly applicable in self-defense to give you the upper hand, and are also a great deal of fun to practice. The students that attend are also great people, and it feels like coming home whenever I go.I highly recommend to everyone that is seeking to learn martial arts to join this academy. Traditional Wing Chun is one of THE BEST forms of martial arts and Si-fu Jasper is an EXCELLENT teacher.“
“My daughter went to this school for two years and it was nothing but amazing ! My kid loved getting up everyday to go to school and she loved her teachers so very much. She talked about them all the time. She has also learned so much as well. She is writing very well and knows her letters and numbers. She is also starting to tell time at home. We were so sad to have to move on from Zhang Sah. The teacher are always available to communicate and work very hard to keep your child safe. The front end staff is great as well and very kind and inviting. They also take all precautions when it comes to covid. You won't be disappointed in the school at all !!“
“Excellent Aikido school. If you're new to Aikido and feeling nervous, Aikido Kenkyukai is a great place to start. Since starting Aikido in 2007, I've trained in Dojos all across the country and as a result have met many Aikido teachers and schools. Kenkyukai is a seamless blend of authentic adherence to Aikido, with a light and welcoming atmosphere. At many dojos, this is like oil and vinegar - either too light hearted, or so serious you risk injury. I'm happy I started training here, and while I've taken various breaks from Aikido, am glad that I've jumped back in.“
“The best decision I’ve made for my daughter, I’ve seen such a difference in her confidence in the last few weeks! She’s learning a lot and making friends. She loves class and her instructors!“
