That right there... is a *BIG RED FLAG,* waving at ya's!! First off... lemme say this...PJ needs to do the "RIGHT THING" and "REFUND" the monies back "ASAP" to one of his recent clients (Sofia) who happens to be a neighbor of mine. Also, sadly... STAY AWAY. We hired PJ with Newleaf Landdesign in March 2022. We discussed the design in detail prior to that starting in 2021 and he provided references that we were able to verify and even visited one of those references. He spoke well and said all the right things and agreed on price. We signed a detailed contract and agreed the work would take 2 weeks weather permitting with an ECD end of March. He urged us to pay 25% at contract signing to save our place in line cause he was busy. He started a week or so later than discussed and he asked for 50% at work start so he can bring the material to avoid supply chain issues.
