About Compassionate Groom and Spa
Compassionate Groom and Spa is a Christian and vet tech-owned grooming business that prides itself on providing quality, stress-free, and fear-free services for all kinds of furry clients. They have extensive knowledge in handling pets with various behaviors, including sick, old, disabled, anxious, scared, aggressive, and in-between. They also cater to cats. The business is fully licensed and insured, and they prioritize honest, compassionate, and quality work. Visitors have praised the establishment for its cleanliness and the unique, fun coloring of pet fur. The resident cats are often spotted in pink and purple hues. The business does not cage pets for long hours, and they offer various services to pamper furry companions. A first-time groomer expressed satisfaction with the transformation of her long-haired dachshund, who received a blueberry facial and a fresh, new look. Another client, who owns a Bichon Frize, was amazed to see their puppy looking like a Bichon again after a grooming session. The business has been commended for its quick service, with some pets groomed and ready to go in just an hour. Recently, the team received praise for their work on a long-haired kitty, giving him a beautiful lion cut to help with mats and make him more comfortable. The owner was nervous about the first grooming because the cat is shy and nervous around strangers, but Jen did a wonderful job, leaving the cat happy with his new coat. Customers also highlighted the excellent service and understanding staff, especially when handling nervous pets. They appreciated being informed if they could come early when the groomers finished ahead of schedule, which helped busy schedules. Even with a move further away, clients plan to continue visiting Compassionate Groom and Spa. Overall, Compassionate Groom and Spa is highly regarded as one of the best groomers in central Pennsylvania, known for its caring approach and quality care.
Always a great experience with the team at Compassionate Groom and Spa, I took my Frankie in for a summer cut.. her coat was becoming matted due to me waiting longer inbetween grooming so we discussed taking her completely down & I asked that if possible they save some length on her tail and ears which they were able to do. She looks awesome and I always know she’s in good hands when she’s there. Thanks a lot! (Before and after)
We had our first grooming session yesterday with our Aussie Charlotte. She had only been groomed once before and hated the handheld dryer and I wasn’t sure how she would do with it after some desensitization training, so I was nervous to book another grooming session for her. I found Compassionate Groom and Spa on a google search and everything about this salon impressed me so I decided to book, being open about her past struggles and she did absolutely great!! I’m so happy with her haircut and the whole experience!! We definitely plan on returning on a regular basis!
I never had a long hair feline. So when my Rigby refused to let me brush him, I was desperate to find a groomer who would help him. I made an appointment making sure to share all the sweetness & resistance Rigby could be. I brought him in. They let me stay out front. Fortunately Rigby could see me and that seemed to calm him as he waited his turn. While he was a bit challenging, they were able to comb him out, get rid of the few matts he had and gave him a hygiene cut. Because he had some matting back there, they apologized that they shaved more than they usually do. I responded by saying - no problem at all! I appreciate the patience & kindness they gave Rigby. When I got him home & opened the crate door, he walked out like he was a prince! He paraded by his feline & canine sisters as if he was the most beautiful cat ever. This went on for a few days. I got some good advice about how to create a calmer cat for the next appointment. THANK YOU & Bless you for what you do!
