For context, I chose tumescent local anesthesia and felt prepared for it. I managed it, and for many people it may be entirely tolerable, though it was more intense than I expected and left a bigger impression than anticipated. I do not regret choosing local anesthesia.

What surprised me most was the middle phase of recovery. While I was up and moving within a couple of weeks, I did not fully appreciate how much adjustment can occur as nerves begin coming back online. Recovery is not linear, and some evolving sensations are part of the healing process.

None of this detracts from my confidence in Dr. Claytor. I would absolutely choose him again and recommend him highly. This is a five-star experience.“
