Steve just completed our amazing kitchen renovation (transformation)!! We met with five or six different contractors and Steve at SMD General Contracting came in at a very fair estimate, and based on the work we saw he has done, and the suggestions that he made for our renovation, we chose him because of his professionalism and attention to detail. The job started out with him just removing a wall and putting up a beam to open up our kitchen into the dinette, and it turned into him doing the entire job, because he is just that good. He is meticulous. My husband and I keep telling him that there needs to be more people like him in the contracting business. He is so honest. He was here early and stayed until the job at hand got done, and he is extremely responsive. I have a tendency to come up with ideas and thoughts at all times of day or night, so he would get a random text from me. And unless he was in the middle of something, he always got right back to me. This renovation was no easy task. We had a deadline of Easter Sunday, and even with four days of having no power, four snow storms, a leak in the ceiling from our upstairs bathroom, which he also fixed for us, everything was done on time and beautifully. He made our dream kitchen come true. We love him, and we will absolutely work with him for every job, big or small, we have in our home.
