For the last month, we’ve watched Darren and his team (Hartzell Home & Garden Services, LLC.) transform our yard into one that manifests the kind of beauty that could only be created by professionals. They take pride in their work, and they have excellent attention to detail. From the very beginning, Darren was honest about the process, and his team worked very hard to make sure the job was done with top quality throughout. I was home during much of the remodel, and I never saw anyone taking any shortcuts. My husband and I were particularly appreciative of the extra touches they added and/or suggested. Last year, we bought our home which included a front yard sidewalk made of stepping stones that sat on top of the grass and a driveway turnaround that was surrounded with railroad ties. The stairway that led from the driveway into the backyard was weathered and barely useable. The left side of our house had a steep hill and every time it rained, the backyard became a carpet of mud. There was another area in the back yard that sloped downward that had the same issue. Darren and team rebuilt our front sidewalk with pavers and extended it to the far end of the house and added on a beautiful patio area. They had to work hard to build up the land to make the area flat prior to laying the pavers for the patio area. This takes real expertise that proved no challenge to them. They installed a beautiful retainer wall for the driveway turnaround that extended into the backyard including French drains to prevent the rain from turning our backyard into a swamp every time it rained. They also installed beautiful steps leading from the driveway to a nicely paved sidewalk that leads to the back door of our sunroom and garage. You are sure to get nothing short of extraordinary if you choose them as your landscape or hardscape designers. They made our yard look even better than we had hoped for and when they were done, they cleaned up everything. We are so glad we decided to use these honest, hardworking, professionals.
