The Lesson Center

May 2020

Vivian worked with Don Plowman to play “Helena” from My Chemical Romance for 5 months to play for her school talent show. It's a really fast song, but Mr. Don never said she couldn't do it. He said she was going to have to work for it, but never that she couldn't do it. She started out at a speed of 75 BMP and only able to play for maybe a minute. She’s now able to play at the full 126 bpm and has the strength to play it all the way through, many times in a row. Mr. Don taught her take apart a song, break it into pieces, and work on each part. She has learned to really practice between classes. And she's learned that some days you will have a really bad practice, but to come back the next day and nail it. We want to thank Mr. Don for believing in her and helping her to achieve her goal. She has advanced SO MUCH in those 5 months, all because he believed in her and taught her so well. He's amazing and we are so glad that he is Vivian's teacher.

My son has been taking lessons at The Lesson Center since he was a toddler. He started in the toddler class, which we loved, and then transitioned to piano as he got older. He’s had two piano teachers over the past few years, and we’ve loved them both. The Lesson Center provides great opportunities for low stress/no pressure recitals twice a year, and the fact that they have multiple locations throughout the Lehigh Valley made it really easy for us to find a center close to us. During the Coronavirus outbreak, The Lesson Center has continued to care for their students and teachers by making digital weekly lessons AND digital recitals work. I grew up with music in my home, and it was really important for me to pass that love of music to my children. The Lesson Center has helped to make this possible for my family.

My son has been attending for the last 2 years for piano. He absolutely loves it and looks forward to his weekly lessons. He has grown so much under Fran’s guidance who is excellent and patient with his students.
