I recommended this practice to a friend and saw the negative reviews so I thought I'd share my positive experience. I've been going here for about 8 years & I've never had a problem with the front desk or my practitioner. Michelle has helped me with my skin in various phases of my life & I even kept going to her during a point when they were OUT of network for me -but they were always upfront about this and the payments requires. It's unfortunate to see that others haven't shared the same experience, but I will continue to come here as long as I live in the area.

I have been a patient at Lehigh Valley Dermatology located at 940 N New Street, Bethlehem Pa 180182, for over 7 years .I have a chronic precancerous condition and go for check ups and treatments when required every 6 months. In July of 2022 I was contacted by the office support staff to advise that they were not in the network for my insurance-Aetna. I contacted Aetna and was assured they were in fact on the network. I called back and spoke to the office manager who said it was an error and yes , they do take my insurance. I went for my appointment and ended up requiring a procedure that took place in October and again in December. for my condition. Shortly before my February appointment I received a barrage of curt, bordering on unprofessional calls from numerous staff members telling me that they did not take my insurance. I explained that this had happened in the past and it was a mistake. I again contacted Aetna after each call and was told they are in the network and Aetna even reached out to them. The night before my appointment on 02/17 at 9:10am -I received a call at 5 pm that if I came to my appointment I would need to pay out of pocket. I called back but the office was closed. I called again in the morning and was placed on hold 3 times for over 45 min. The office manager apologized for the inconvenience but shared they were advised by an attorney they planned on hiring to have me pay up front. They did not like the reimbursement rate from Aertna and wanted out of the network. I explained that the duty of the medical director was to ensure patients are seen and that he should not put them in the middle of a financial dispute with the insurance company. She called Dr David Vasily who said if I do not pay out of pocket , I would not be seen despite them still being officially in the insurance network. I also reminded her that they have been paid for each of my services despite saying they were not-because I get the statements. I was then sent a copay bill for $20 in addition to my standard copay for an appointment on 12/14/22. Instead of appealing it I just paid it and they cashed the check on 03/06/23. So today I received the same bill as if I was late on my payment that I most likely should have appealed in the 1st place , but paid. I will miss my treating PA-Sara Hartman who is outstanding, but the principals that this medical director and his support staff operate under are completely unethical.

Extremely disappointed! I was told prior to my visit that they accepted my insurance! Right after my appointment, I was told they didn't! WHY WOULD I HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT IF THEY DID NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE?!? I have asked them to split the difference...which they are NOT willing to do. The women I've dealt with have been rude and sarcastic. They are not willing to work with me at ALL. Very disappointed with their office. They knew they didn't accept my insurance , but saw me anyway!
