This is the only place left that still requires masks (and the woman at the front desk is extremely rude about it!) Every doctor/dentist/practice I go to no longer requires masks. The rudeness of the woman at the front desk alone is enough to lose my business... but threatening to charge me for a mask for my appointment is ridiculous. I used to recommend this place because the woman who performs the laser appointments is amazing. But I will absolutely never recommend this place to anyone going forward. If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. But having this policy in place (with such a rude receptionist) is such a turnoff.
I had 12 treatments of laser hair removal on my chin last year and this year looks like I had 2 treatments done! Spend so much money for other treatments too and not much of results! Chin is most disappointing one!
I was refused services today because I had purchased initially both a groupon for an IPL facial for my daughter and myself, as well as a hand IPL for me. A couple days before I cancelled my daughter's IPL because she had covid and asked to reschedule. The facility called me back and left a message saying as long as we don't live in the same house, they would see me at my appointment (my daughter lives in PA and I live in NJ). After a 45 minute drive to Allure, there was no one in the reception area. When she came out, the first words out of her mouth were a harsh, "Are you the woman with the daughter with covid?" Not good morning or can I help you, or asking the familiar questions of have you tested positive or have you been with someone who has tested positive, After my reply that yes, but that I was told to still come in, she retorted that, "Absolutely we can't see you, there is no possible way we will see you, we don't want to get covid here!" I explained to her that a message was left for me that I should still come in and we would reschedule my daughter's appointment while I was there. She replied that they had called me a couple times stating that they would not see me; she didn't ask if I wanted to reschedule, but basically said that's too bad and that they had called me to cancel (this was after I told her I had just driven 45 minutes for this appointment). I showed her my phone that I had no messages from them after the last one the previous day saying to still come in and I read her the transcript. It didn't matter. This was a very distasteful experience and I think a very unprofessional one. I would not recommend this business.
