I typed "Banfield reviews" into my search engine and this is what came up!!!! Do your research before believing a word these people say! This is the biggest scam I have ever been a part of! And the worst part???? They are praying on people by taking advantage of the love they have for their animals!!!!!! This is SICK!!!! please please please stay far away! I have been with Banfield for over a year and a half. $5000 later and I CANNOT cancel my membership plan. Not only have my dogs not even come close to receiving REAL veterinary care on any level, they have mis diagnosed and one of my dogs has gone undiagnosed with a thyroid condition for a year and a half!!! it took one time to see a local veterinarian to tell me what was wrong with my dog! They do not care about your animal, they care about one thing only! taking your money. stay away.

Dr. Alcain was the vet who spoke to us. She was extremely demeaning, rude and disrespectful. We just adopted our puppy, Lumi, the night before our appointment. The first thing she said when she walked in the room was why we chose to get an old puppy. Lumi is only 7 months old. She then proceeded to say how his current situation of living with us is unfortunate because we are in an apartment. She then said how she isn't sure if Lumi is going to be smart because he is small (Lumi is a mini poodle) and berated us when we said he is wearing a diaper in the house temporarily until he gets his parvo shots, which we were there for his parvo shots and had only adopted him the night before. Dr. Alcain also told us to not sleep in until noon to feed him, not even asking our schedules and what would work best. She also gave us very bad vet advice, which we rightfully ignored. My boyfriend and I have talked to other vets and they said it was a good thing that we ignored her advice. With everything she said, she said it with so much attitude and my boyfriend and I were so uncomfortable. Not once did she ask us anything or try to understand our situation. Which if she did, she would have known that Lumi is going to very well loved and healthy with us. We also told her multiple times how we will do what is best for our puppy. We will never go to this Banfield again or anywhere else she is working at. She shouldn't be a vet or work with anyone that has emotions. I have requested Banfield to contact me about our experience with her on 3/11/2024 and as of 3/19/2024, we have yet to hear back yet. Not saying that all Banfields are bad, (we have had positive experiences at other locations), but wherever Dr. Alcain is should be avoided

This location is very understaffed and negligent in care. We took our five year old cat in for a wellness check and teeth cleaning on Tuesday. I had a scheduled drop off time of 7:30 but had to wait to be checked in for 45 minutes due to the number of drop off appointments and lack of staff. The Vet called me around 10:30 to let me know the teeth cleaning had gone well and there was a small cut on his foot that looked infected. I okayed the antibiotic shot and she said they would call when he was ready. About 12:30 a different vet called to tell me he was waking up and everyrhing went well and he would need to stick around for another hour but I couldnt pick him up until 2:30 because everone was at lunch. When my husband arrived to pick up our cat, they said he wasnt there and couldnt locate him. Another came out and said he definately wasnt there and suggested he must be at another location. Finally someone came out from back and said she had worked on him and he was there. The staff was unable to print out a visit summay or instructions for care because their printers were down. My husband noted that our cat looked really out of it but the staff reassured that this was normal. Then about 4pm a staff member called to say they neglected to test the urine sample taken much earlier that day. They proceeded to run test but said it eas not valid because of the length of time. They advised for us to bring him back in for a new test that I would have to pay for out of pocket because one one us included in plan. Fast forward to Wed morning and I found my cat passed out in the litter box and foaming at the mouth. I called Banfield for medical advice to find they were closed both Wed and Thursday for Thanksgiving with no afterhours line for emergencies. I took him to the emergency room and was given a very grim prognosis. He had fluid filling up his abdomen which needed to be drained. Many tests later it was identified that he suffered an acute kidney injury from either being under anethesia too long or blood pressure dropping too low while under the sedation. I truely believe this was a result of negligence - overbooking and understaffing on the part of this location. He was in the Hospital for two days but came home tonight and it looks like he will recover. Im seeking legal council on the matter and will never go back again.
