West Linn Ki-Aikido is an Aikido dojo of the Oregon Ki Society, founded by Paul Ward Sensei, Nidan of the Oregon Ki Society. Our goal is to bring the martial art of Ki-Aikido and Ki Principles to the community of West Linn, Oregon. Students will learn: calmness & confidence; to be relaxed yet strong; meditation & breathing; discipline & tradition; martial arts & self defense; mind & body coordination. Aikido is a Japanese martial art practitioners can use to defend themselves while also protecting the attacker from injury. Aikido techniques consist of entering and turning movements that redirect the momentum of an opponent’s attack, and a throw or joint lock that terminates the technique.
