What an amazing hairstylist! Tara listens gives feedback and works with you to create the style you are looking for! She's knowledgeable with hair products and recommended a curly creme and dry shampoo that I can't live without. I love getting pedicures from her as well. She enhances the experience with a hot neck wrap. Her husband Allen is talented with men's haircuts and refreshing hot towel shaves. If you are looking for a one stop shop for your beauty needs, look no further than Modern Style PDX!

I had a great experience with Tara at Modern Style PDX! I was in search of a stylist for a spiral perm and found Tara through a couple recommendations. The salon where her business is, is great! It's super cute and modern and I enjoyed being there. This was my first perm - really first hair treatment of any kind. She was super nice and walked me through all the stages of the perm and what to expect during them - even the un-fun parts. The perm turned out great and several people have told me they didn't realize I had curly hair. It looks like natural curls, which is awesome. Tara also spent some time teaching me how to take care of my perm on a daily basis. She has products for sale, so it made it easy to purchase what I needed at the salon. Her husband works there too as a barber offering a lot for the men folk. He has his own space and everything! I enjoyed my experience with Modern Style PDX and will be a repeat customer!
