I thought this was a good place when my children and I began going over 7 years ago. Everyone seemed friendly, and kind. The only issue I had at the time was I seemed to keep getting one hygienist who seemed to take their anger out during each cleaning. (I thought that was normal) The last time I was there (2019), I was told I had several cavities in all four quadrants of the mouth, and would most likely need a root canal. The bill was more than we could afford, so I opted to take my chances and wait. I was in no pain. Soon after, Covid hit and no dentist for several years. For the first time in 4 years, I had a dentist appointment with a new dentist. Naturally I experienced high anxiety prior to my appointment //because of what I was told back in 2019. I was worried since it had been a long time, things would be very, very bad. I had x-rays done (Yesterday 1/28/2023) and was seen by a new dentist and had a cleaning. What was my diagnosis? one small tiny chip in a filling , but that was it. When I mentioned what I was told at St. Helens Dental Care, the new dentist just stared at me like that was the craziest thing he ever heard. I had an anxiety attack before the dentist, because what I was told by St. Helens Dental. I shudder to think that I would have had several expensive yet needless procedures done. I am a wife to a disabled Veteran and I feel we were taken advantage of. I would say shop around for others. I had a bit of work done there before Covid. I am wondering if I had work done that I did not need in the beginning. My husband is going to need one cavity filled at this new place it's only 125 without insurance and 75 with our insurance....I would never go back to this dentist office. I would not refer any family or friends here.

After a routine cleaning that I was long over due for they claimed I had around 15 cavities (which was obviously extremely alarming). Fast forward to today, I visited a new dentist in Portland for a check up and they told me I have only 4. I'll also add that my wife had one cavity filled at this office and 6 months later was told she would need another taken care of sooner than later. She went to our new dentist for a second opinion and they said her teeth are just fine and they see no trouble spots. There seems to be a pattern here... I've heard people claim their dentist lied about similar things to get more money out of customers and insurance companies. I'm not sure if that's what is happening here, but beware. Obviously we wont be back.
