For over 15 years I've had chronic pain issues. If you can understand that then you know what going through specialists, treatments and an assortment of pain drugs is all about. A couple years ago I was having an especially hard few days so I looked up a local clinic that my insurance would cover. I came across Jim's clinic and called and made an apt. My entire future is thankful for that day. Jim has two clinics, one in Hillsboro and one in Scappoose. I was always a person with an open mind however when Jim asked if I would consider Gua Sha I was thinking...really I don't care what it is, just help me get over this pain. Within 24 hrs I had had pain relief I'd never experienced. I had another session in a couple days and life has never been the same. Not only has Jim helped to change my life. I still see him every other or couple months when my meds. are not helping me. (often) He also made a world of difference to my father in-law. He spent a year unable to sit or stand for long periods of time. He lost his job and had seen many doctors who had no real way of helping expect a risky surgery. My father in-law called after his apt. and told me "I'm going to pick up my grandkid at school and can actually walk straight up." Now I'm not saying that Jim's different treatment options are a cure all. And neither would Jim. His true to life, down to earth way of helping and looking at life and the treatments he provides an option that many of us, chronic pain people, have been looking for. I still have to take meds. but I live a totally different life than I did before. He's cost effective, works with insurances and listens more than any of the spendy specialists I've seen over the years. I 100% recommend Jim and his practice.
