I had recently started an LLC, set up as an S-corp, and did not want to handle the increased tax complexity on my own. So I went to a local business, hoping to get some help. After 2 years of taxes through them, I wish I had just figured it out on my own. They made multiple mistakes that left my liable for thousands of dollars more than I otherwise would have been. These mistakes were often so elementary that I had people from the Oregon Department of Revenue literally laugh and tell me I needed to get a new CPA.
