Karen is the only stylist that I trust with my hair. Full disclosure, we've been friends since childhood. But that's not why I put so much trust in Karen to give me a fantastic color, cut, and style. It's because her skills are to the point where she is truly an artist. I remember years ago, I went to see her not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair. I'd moved out of state and gone to multiple stylists, but none of them were half as good as Karen. I told her of my hair woes...over the years my hair had gone from my natural red to a light strawberry blonde, was thinning out all over, and now fine strands with no volume and barely any body left. She sweetly listened and when I was done verbally vomiting all over her, she had one reply, "Do you trust me?" I absolutely did, so she got to work with her vision for my new 'do as we caught up with each other. By the time I walked out of Hairloom, I had a low-maintenance cut with layers that gave the illusion of thicker hair and flattered my face shape whether I styled them or went au naturale. But the best, and most wonderfully shocking, part was that Karen had given my hair new life by dying it to my natural shade of red from my childhood--all from her mind and memory, no picture to guide her! To say that I was floored with the results is an understatement. I couldn't stop smiling at the magic she created out of thin air. When photos from that day pop up in memories on my phone, I still look at them and find myself smiling. If you know what cut, color, or style you want, Karen will deliver each and every time.
