Toni and Amber exceeded my expectations and made sure to make me feel safe and comfortable. Toni created a meaningful design and the result is amazing. I think this is a great spot for any BIPOC, it’s always comforting seeing Southeast Asian representation as a Southeast Asian person myself. “I'm on my 5th tattoo from Joanne and I cannot say enough. Her line work, coloring and shading are exceptional. I have been extremely happy with every single design from start to finish. She is so wonderful to work with and the environment is very laid back and easy to sit through the needle work. My last piece is a side calf piece, full of color that she was able to complete in a six hour session. We were both tired but so happy with the outcome.

“I've been tattooed here twice by Virginia and would absolutely recommend her. The first time was after going through some testing for leukemia and I'm negative. I wanted to celebrate and so I came to Scapegoat. The person at the counter helped me pick out a beautiful flash and Virginia was willing to do it that day. Both of them were so nice it was a very good feeling. The second time I decided to just ask Virginia if she would design my leg. Whatever she wanted to do I put my trust in her. And she came up with a beautiful peony design for my shin. It's quite large. I get compliments on it all of the time. It is really important to have a counter person that makes me feel comfortable and women artists who are so nice and highly skilled.“

“I just had my second custom tattoo done by Court yesterday and I am so in love.
Last year, Court did a custom Mt. Hood tattoo on me as well as touched it up, and it healed so perfectly I’m obsessed with it.
I strayed and went to three different Portland shops for three different tattoos before returning to Court for another custom and safe to say I will not be going to anyone else again.

Requested style: I sent Pedro a few screenshots and a basic description of my concept. He was able to turn those into a really good rough draft. From there, we discussed some changes and made some additions. The final draft was exactly what I wanted and left room to stylize it a little more along the way as we agreed.

I needed a cover-up for a tattoo I got 18 years ago, and Jason did an amazing job. I only gave him a few photos for inspiration via email, and when we met a few days later, he already had a fantastic design ready.

“Walked in to get a small palm tattoo, was my first tattoo. Derek was super kind and knowledgable, told me everything I needed to know to make the informed decision to get the tattoo. Very gently but very honestly told me the downsides of the placement so that I had all the info at hand. Still ready to do it, he met me the next morning and made it happen!
