I was having serious back and neck pain. Even after two deep tissue massages I could barely move my neck and was prescribed muscle relaxers and pain medication. Acupuncture was recommended and I fortunately was able to get an appointment with Shinichi. He said the expectations were 40% improvement after the first treatment but within 3 days of my first treatment I was at 90% and stopped taking my muscle relaxers. It was amazing. After a second treatment I nearly feel like I'm back to myself 100%. I'm still amazed as I had never tried acupuncture before. Definitely recommend booking with him!

I searched the net to find an acupuncturist whose web site spoke to me and found Shinichi Moriyama Acupuncture. Being new to the Portland area, I booked an appointment and kept my fingers crossed, hoping that my nightly leg pain could be addressed. Mr Moriyama is professional, has a calming demeanor and knows what he is doing. My pain is no longer chronic and just about gone with only a few sessions. If you are thinking of trying acupuncture, this is the place you should come.

My first time doing acupuncture and it was a very positive experience. Shin is very warm and welcoming and makes you feel at ease. He is very thorough with his work and talks you through everything he is doing. I felt a difference in my shoulder almost immediately after. I would highly recommend! :)

I have been practicing acupuncture since 2004. My goal Is to assist you in achieving the optimal level of health. In this process, I use a combination of acupuncture, massage, and stretching. I instruct my clients to do simple stretching exercises to help with the healing process. Additionally, the clients and I look at the dietary suggestions and herbal prescriptions if necessary. I commonly treat any type of pain-related conditions, stress and sleep issues, digestive problems, and reproductive concerns. I also work with many people who manage long term issues such as MS, chronic migraines, and glaucoma with acupuncture. I am in many commercial insurance networks and handle automobile accident claims. I will do the billing for you.
