100% unethical. Participating doctors are violating their Hippocratic oaths. Study criteria make zero logical sense. If you have ADD/ADHD then you have memory loss, if you have depression then you also have ADD/ADHD. Most of the symptoms for the diagnosis label of a study of theirs also apply to the diagnosis label of another study they're doing, but if you have the other diagnosis then you don't qualify. Makes zero sense and is why the majority of America is suffering from severe mental health issues even if they don't realize it. You're not going to be able to heal mental health and profit off of it at the same time, it's impossible.

In 2000 I was having a conversation with a close friend about me basically wanting to be invisible. She didn't understand what I meant, so I elaborated. In school I did not want to sit in the front of the class and no way did I want to speak in front of the class or even be called on. My biggest fear was being on the spot. It was a daily thing I dealt with, not once a week or every once in a while. I'd skip classes where I had to speak and take the F. After school years when I went out I was the designated drunk as the only way I could have fun. I had a hard time even if around 2 friends. I'm just a little distressed. After a brief interview over the phone a visit was scheduled for me. I went for my appointment and met with a Doctor. A few minutes into it she informed me I did not qualify for the Depression study because I did not score enough points in the Insomnia category. Okay I have Depression, serious, real depression with many, but not all of the symptoms. And there are times when I do experience insomnia, just not that many in the last seven days, which she said is what they look at.
