Dr. Barr and her team in the MHOS clinic at OHSU are so caring and efficient. As nervous as I was they reassured me while calmly explaining everything before and as they did their job. This a teaching hospital and I was asked if it was ok, then introduced to the doctors who were doing their residences there as well as the rest of the team.
OHSU center offers great care with great quality. I went thru several departments in two months, and had an overall great experience. 8 out of 10 encounters were excellent, where the care team gave not just good care technically, but also emotionally/interpersonally. Several nurses went out of their way to help and encourage me. My doctor was also very understanding and took in my input seriously instead of treating me as just another patient. I felt heard and cared for. The entire CT scan process staff could use more "human warmth" in their patient interaction, but I understand they are doing their job despite not being as delightful as other departments.
