This is a disturbingly rude practice. The billing practice is sloppy and keeps sending bills. They're sending 5+ bills months and months past the time I visited the clinic. Do NOT go here. Christine in billing is specifically rude. A month earlier I called in and was told I have no balance due after paying 4 other bills from them from multiple different vendors. I received my 5th bill a month later and called in confused stating I've already been told I paid my final balance. I stated I hoped it made sense why I was perturbed to which Christine replied "I understand you don't understand how the insurance process works." Absolutely awful.

I received the worst doctor care in my life at Compass Oncology. This spanned three separate doctors, as I tried to understand what was happening with my health, due to my hemochromatosis. I came to the first doctor, feeling worse than I had in my life. He asked a few questions, as he looked at the computer screen, then told me he could find someone in the waiting room right now who had higher iron than me. I wasn't sure how that had anything to do with my health. He said he'd give me a phlebotomy, then rushed out of the room; poking his head back in to ask if I had any diarrhea. I felt dismissed and not listened to. I called Compass Oncology to complain. I guess I got the doctor's assistant, who hold me I couldn't say things like that about her doctor. I countered that it was the truth and I wanted a new doctor. I received a phone call from the office manager, who was very nice. He apologized over and over. I asked for a doctor with a more sympathetic manner. The next doctor came in, looked at my chart, and told me my nausea (which I have had from early childhood) was related to my medical cannabis use. I asked about the diarrhea I also had and he told me to go to a gastroenterologist. Not, had I been to one - no interest in my actual medical history - but, go to one. He also told me to quit taking all of the supplements my primary care doctor has prescribed; even the ones that were for low vitamin levels. That was enough of that doctor for me. When I spoke to the office manager this time, I asked for a woman doctor, thinking she'd be more empathetic. She wasn't. When I tried to her about my health, she informed me that I could not have had the juvenile form of this genetic disease, because I was a girl, I was too young, and I didn't have the right symptoms. My lived experience seemed to be irrelevant. It should be noted that this is a disease that has almost exclusively looked at from a male perspective. It was also very clear that this doctor was angry that I challenged her expertise. There was no curiosity that I might be an unusual case. The last time I saw this doctor, she asked me how I felt. I told her I didn't feel well. She asked exactly zero questions about what was going on and told me she'd see me next time. I was not given any information about my disease, nor any advice for dealing with it. I never went back. My primary care doctor sent me to Dr. Deloughery, at OHSU, who was fabulous. He came into the room with enthusiasm and dietary advice. He told me he had a small group of patients who present like I do. I finally felt listened to. I want to make clear that my bad experiences were only with the doctors and that one assistant. The woman who did my blood work and performed my phlebotomies were absolutely wonderful. They were kind and attentive. This is the end of the review. I was unable to delete the following. perhaps it is due to me working on a iPad. I want to make clear that my bad exp were only with the doctors and that one The women y bloodand pew I y caO
