I started out getting henna designs on my body from Erika over 10 years ago so once she decided to learn to tattoo, I couldn't wait to have some of her permanent work on my body. I was one of her first clients in 2021. I was a bit nervous getting a large tattoo that was also very visible to all since she was new to it, but I went for it anyways! One of the things I love about getting art from her is that she likes to go deep and discuss why it is that I want the art, what it means to me and even what it could...read full review
Erika is a kind and caring massage therapist. She addresses specific issues in an informed manner, and she gives an excellent overall relaxing massage. She has a very sensitive and gentle touch, and my 84 year old body and mind are well served. I highly recommend her.
I met Erika in 2016 at a henna event and she talked about wanting to start tattooing. I told her right then that I would come and get one from her! I'm in Canada so it took me a while, but in the meantime it's been wonderful to watch her on IG. I finally made the trip down to Portland and after giving Erika a vague description of where and what I wanted, she created an absolutely perfect piece for me. I loved the process of the consultation, quick sketches of placement on my arm and talking through what elements I liked. The tattoo process was painful of course but Erika creates a welcoming space and lets you work through it in your own way. I'm honoured to be going home with this remarkable piece of art on my arm - created from community and the beauty of connection.
