I go there and pick up there first, second and third cuts for free. I then go home and make different wooden projects out of the wood material, I then give to family members or friends for presents. One day I'll sell what I make, still in the learning process.

I wanted butcher block for my laundry room. I did not want to buy it from Home Depot or other suppliers that offer wood products of questionable quality. Found Goby via Google search and did a site visit hoping that they would have what I was after. Wound up picking out a beautiful slab of 96" long solid white oak butcher block at a competitive price. They held it for me free of charge for a week while I arranged transport. Friendly staff. Warehouse and grounds are something to drool over if you're a woodworker, but laypeople like me can find great stuff too. Happy I made the trip. Thanks for helping with my remodel!

I was finally ready to create my very first river table. Went to a number of great lumber stores in Portland and Oregon. Goby however was the winner in the end for what I was looking for. They have 100's if not 1000's of wood selections on their online library slab archive. I probably spent a solid week going through it all and finally deciding on a Black Walnut burl from Oregon. They also cut up your pieces too, if you can decide on the spot how you'd like them cut. Also, keep in mind if you do find a piece you like in their catalogue. Remember to call them to book ahead of time for a viewing as not all their pieces are accessible. They need to take it out of their archive of 1000's of slabs for your viewing. Anyways, I am so happy with their product. Definitely will be coming back for more. Thinking about making a set of benches next!
