Dr. Walker is a very skilled, patient and kind veterinarian. I feel so fortunate that she is treating my rescue dog who has some challenging behaviors resulting from her fear and anxiety. Dr. Walker has carefully prescribed appropriate medication prior to our appointments, but more importantly she has far exceeded my expectations in the patient, sensitive, and compassionate way she has treated my dog.
Best Friends was a saving grace to my elderly cat. The last vet wasn’t helpful and said he couldn’t help me because my cat was too old and that he would die soon. I received such educated and compassionate care from the Best Friends team! (and I was so happy to see there is a dog part of the building and a cat side). I received the best and worst case scenarios for him, and a full breakdown of the recommended treatment. I received a very optimistic view that he had more years left in him. We love Dr Walker and her team. We moved to Portland in 2021 as Covid was just starting to wind down. We were just getting settled in when our 4 year old Labby injured the tendons in a rear knee. Experience told us this would likely need surgery. So we did our research and called vets with surgical teams. We quickly found out no one was accepting new patients regardless of the circumstances.
