The owner here is old school/old country … which is not a bad thing. The place had NYC vibes. It’s not a place to hang out and have coffee. It’s a seamstress’s studio with an obligatory waiting area. She is always busy when I walk in, never too courteous, just enough so but the work is solid. Prices are not cheap but fair - commensurate for the work done. Often if it’s a minor job and if she is not overwhelmed she will do the work as I wait. My go to place for alterations.

I was really nervous to have someone alter it because of its unique material, difference in thickness in some parts, and its complicated seam patterns. They immediately understood the assignment and had it beautifully done just a day later after paying the very cheap speed fee ($5). They sewed it better than the original manufacturer and left the extra fabric stitched inside in case I wanted to re-alter it. Original fee + the speed fee was only $33, suuuuuper affordable compared to some other alterations I've had done... read full review

Seriously the best alterations place in Portland. I take all my pants there to get hemmed or taken in and they do a fantastic job. They are quick and always do quality excellent work.
