“Jen is amazing. I wish I had all the photos of what she's done to and for my hair over the years, all gathered up for this review but I'll have to post them later if I can. My profile photo is her work --- perfection. She has been doing my hair from lifting and toning, putting cool colors in, full on haircuts & layering, trims for up-keep, and recently - on a whim: bangs! They look fantastic! Shes gentle, super sweet and always makes sure to ask specifics on what you want, and check-in with you to make sure you get exactly what you want. My hair is always in better condition after I'm done seeing her. She really knows what she's doing. I always suggest bringing in a photo (if you can) to any hair stylist to make sure you're getting what you want, especially if you don't know what the haircut or style is called - just something to do or you may miscommunicate what you're after. I've brought in photos only a few times, but the few times I have, she's only needed a quick look, and immediately know what I'm after, executes it well! I've gotten services from her at several salons, and will continue to follow her if she ever goes anywhere else! I'm glad she's at a salon with Aveda - plant based products now ☺️. Thank you Jen!!“

Manicures are always a bit odd for my irregular nails.I did find it odd though that they had me wash my hands before service and after they lotioned my arms. No hot towel? “This was a great experience. I came in with an old photo and little idea as to what I wanted. Mario helped talk me through what my wants and needs are and I came out with a fresh, clean cut that feels and looks great more than 2 weeks later. I especially appreciated being asked if I wanted it to look "more feminine, masculine, or somewhere in between". When we came to a spot that I felt uncertain about, Mario worked it up in one way so we could see how I liked it, then had no qualms about shaving it off when it didn't feel right. He talked me through how to keep up the look and other ideas to play around with it as it grows out. He was not pushy about selling me products but was able to recommend a good one when I requested it. I was able to make the appointment online and fill in my preferred pronouns. And as a bonus! The salon is filled with beautiful vines and happy plants and propagation stations and when I inquired I discovered they sell the plant clippings too! I got clippers and a clipping for a great price and am sure to be back!“

“I was looking to get my nails done for an event and my nails were wrecked from powder dip that I had on previously from somewhere else; thus, I decided to look for a nail salon specializing in nail health. My search stopped when I came across Hands to Sole, which has consistent 5-star reviews. This is not your typical nail salon as it's tastefully decorated with lush plants and cute furniture, and it's intimate and quiet. I love that they do online booking too. They offer beverages and I opted for a unique herbal tea blend. If I can recall correctly, the polish brand that they carry is European and very high quality, and the color selection is tasteful and chic. The only persons available to do your nails are the co-owners so you're pretty much guaranteed a good experience. Sohn was so sweet and took great care of me as she was attentive throughout my service. Her massages were amazing!!! Needless to say, my nails turned out beautifully. I can't stop staring at the color - it's mesmerizing and I have gotten so many compliments. Tips: Do yourself a favor and book a reflexology massage with your pedi. It was just what I needed to relax. Btw - They can also do nail art! You pay a bit more here than other salons but it's worth every penny.“

Rouza didn't scold me and tackled it like a complete professional. “Mersadez at Healthy Look Salon is awesome! She always does such a great job on my color (I have super blond highlights which can be difficult with how dark my natural hair is) and gives a great cut as well! Mersadez is very personable and easy to talk to....she listens to what you want and tells you the truth on if it will work for you or not...honesty is the best policy in my opinion.
