Today I went in for what I thought would be a fairly easy (ish) fix and be sent on my way. Instead, they found I needed some extra work that led to not just the one tooth, but three. Thankfully, only one was super serious and the others just fills. Not only did they chose to continue to work on my mouth without complaining about time frames, they worked through it with smiles on their faces. The best part of all of this - was that normally when I get “numbed up”, I am shaking, scared, sweating and tearing up.. but in this case, I don’t even think I flinched. He was quick, gentle and continued to ask how I was doing, the ENTIRE time. Same with his assistant. Did I mention this one hour appointment turned into around 2+?! AND THEY NEVER COMPLAINED or made me feel bad. NOT ONCE. 👏🏻 I warned them when I came in (exact words), “I have had some bad experiences at the dentist that have lead me to putting off coming in. I will cry, a lot. But it’s not your fault, it’s just me”... Needless to say, I left without shedding a single tear; minus the happy ones I started to feel towards the end. I am finally excited to see a dentist and am thankful to have been directed their way.
