Unfortunately, this place has become such a downer. I've been coming for probably 15 years. The customer service vibe for feeling welcome and comfortable has changed. The owner is very abrupt and not friendly, which sets a poor example for the staff. Some of the older women are lovely, but the younger ones have judging attitudes. I was selecting my nail color and my technician came over (rushing me) and guided me towards the Opal nail colors... she did not point out that they are $3 more than the standard. I selected one of them. When she presented the bill to me later and I saw 4 extra dollars, I asked and she made a big deal, pointing out the small sign that reads 3 extra dollars. The 4th extra dollar was for paying with a credit card. When the pedi started, she asked if I wanted gel, saying it would be good for travel. I declined and she again told me it would be better for travel. I ended up telling her it takes layers off my nails and she didn't respond. The water was cold when I sat down. She asked how the water was and I told her and she didn't change the temperature or ask me about it again. The massage was so short and somewhat painful. As soon it was done, even though there was not a line of people waiting for a pedi chair, I was herded over to the opposite side of the room, which are also comfortable chairs. The attitude of the employees and vibe was negative and uncomfortable. I left feeling unnerved rather than relaxed. I gave it a 2 because my nails looked good. And, to be fair, usually the polish lasts for a while when I get my nails done here.
I just stopped into the Lake Oswego location for a fill and was fit in immediately. Judy did my fill and did a fantastic job!! Very detailed and professional. Excited to return and happy to have found this place. Service was excellent and staff super friendly. Definitely coming back for fills as well as cannot wait to try their pedicures very soon. Highly recommend.
I really wanted to like this place because I've been a La Belle customer at the Timberline location for a few years. I've come here twice now and both times my pedicure has been rushed. They are always overbooked and don't have enough technicians to support the clients. They are constantly running around from client to client that they're not taking the time to properly paint the nails. My toes look sloppily done. The technician cut them and filed them but they're not filed straight. It just looks unprofessionally done, like I did them myself. The ladies are all very sweet but they pedicure execution is just not there. I don't see myself coming back to this location.
