“My kid has been begging me to get her ears pierced forever now and I totally wanted that for her!That being said, she is 6 and the last time we went to get her vaccines (she was 4 at the time) I was holding her arms as tightly as I could but she still somehow used her brute strength to free her arms, grab the needle and rip it out of her leg - bending the needle in the process. She’s been pretty NOT COOL with needles ever since - along with not being good with pain in the first place.Well, she was asking me again to get them done this evening and a friend of mine had recommended High Priestess so I decided to give them a call. I ended up just packing my kid up and heading there at that very moment.I cannot understate how glad I am that we ended up taking my kid here for her first piercings. Samantha is so respectful, patient and kind. My daughter gets nervous about everything, ever and I assumed she would be having an absolute meltdown at the anticipation of getting her ears pierced but SOMEHOW Samantha was able to keep her comfortable and at ease. I feel like she went out of her way to explain to my daughter that she wouldn’t do anything my daughter was afraid to do. She took the time and energy to establish trust with her (I mean like as much as you can 10 minutes after meeting someone) and it made a world of a difference. The whole thing went so smoothly and my kid didn’t scream or cry… nothing. She cries just from brushing her own hair sometimes - like it was a miracle. There was definitely some type of Mr. Miyagi healing magic in there or something.Listen this ended up being really long but if you’re nervous about getting pierced, or PARTICULARLY if you have a kid that is - GO HERE.
