I have been seeing Rod now for over 30 years and was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome by one of the best orthopedist in our area. Rod took x-ray and did a complete health history before doing anything. I originally came to see him for a lower back issue, but he told me he could help with the carpal tunnel also. After a few visits all of my symptoms disappeared and I have been free from the symtoms since them. He has helped with other joint and muscular issues over the years and since seeing him I haven't had to endure much pain for very long. He always has a solution. He is also very good about prescribing stretches and exercises to keep me in top condition. I never would have guessed that I could avoid surgery by seeing a chiropractor, but I am convince Rod is my first choice when challenged with something like that. He is awesome.

For most of my adult life, if I had a misstep or a fall i would be down with a major back ache. One and a half weeks after going to Rod, I had a major fall on the ice without experiencing a back ache. He literally changed my life. I know longer live in Eugene, but I try to see him every time I am back in town. If I lived a little closer, I would fly in for appointments.

Just moved here from LA and was seeing a chiro down there, who I thought was good until I started seeing Dr. Shirk and immediately recognized how much more in depth he was!! He gave me more adjustments than the last chiro and adjusted my pelvis, which was entirely thrown off because I am 9 months pregnant. I only wish I would have found him sooner, can't say enough good things. I started going once a week and already can tell such a tremendous difference!! Highly recommend and not sure how he doesn't have more reviews!!!
