In 2018, my wife and I had a complicated tax situation involving 3 states when we were referred to Houck Evarts. Steve Rooke was great to work with and helped us wade through all the complexities. Flash forward a few years later to 2022, and one of those states incorrectly tried claiming we still owed taxes and sent us a notice. We reached out to Steve right away and he helped us prepare a response and that state ultimately withdrew the notice. Taxes can be intimidating, especially when you get an unexpected bill, but Steve and the Houck Evarts team stuck by us. Highly recommend this firm to anyone.
