CAUTION: don't be put off by the low rating for this place here on yelp. This place only has a handful of reviews, and it's brought down by a couple of bad ones (including that one guy who left a 2-star rating after he no-showed for his appt and was appalled that he wasn't allowed back. lol, what do you expect, genius?) Go do a google search for this place and you'll get plenty of good reviews from other sites. Anyway, I wanted to put my 2 cents in here because I had what I would imagine is the typically good experience here. We live in West Salem but had to take our cat here because apparently no one in Salem was accepting new pets! But I'm so glad I took my cat here! The staff in the front were all very kind but also thorough in making sure all of my pet's paperwork and vet history was in place. I forget her name, but the vet assistant that came in to see my cat and take her weight/temperature/etc. was very kind and made my cat feel comfortable - so comfortable that she ended up just lying on the ground ready to go to sleep! Then Dr. Brotherton came in and she seemed extremely competent and thorough. I've been to many other vets and most all of them just seemed like they were going through the motions and didn't really care which pet they were seeing or what their symptoms were. But Dr. Brotherton asked questions about my cat that I wasn't asked at all my other vets, and that made me feel like she really cared and that my cat was in good hands. I'm so glad I ended up here and will have total confidence that my cat will be well taken care of.

I like the Doctor she is very down to earth and easy to talk to , she doesn’t try and get you to pay for a lot of un nessary treatments , and I really appreciate that in a doctor. I really really like Dr. Brotherton . The staff is very helpful and nice . Not always easy to get an appointment they are ALWAYS Booked up .

Love this place, wish my fur baby felt the same. Lol ? The entire staff is AWESOME!!! CARING, UNDERSTANDING, and they take care of my girl... That is the best part. Keep up the good work... POLK VETERINARY...Much Love
