I love pedicures but typically don't schedule them because my feet generally dry out soon afterwards, however, I wanted to try one at the salon as Steph's style is a little different Whatever she uses in the water doesn't dry my feet. “Jenny was very kind and spent all 8 hours on my hair for the day. I had grown out years of professionally-bleached-balayage hair until I had a full head of black virgin Asian hair. I maintained that for a few years and was ready for something new. I am VERY picky with selecting a stylist that can properly bleach Asian hair, so knowing that Jenny is Asian herself and has posted successful photos of evenly bleached hair on Asian clients gave me optimism. :)

I'll be honest and say that I originally went in thinking I would get a neutral-ashy-brown balayage (especially going from black virgin hair--I thought I had to start slow again). Jenny's technique for applying bleach to virgin black hair was perfection--it took 2 hours of careful sectioning until it looked like I had an alien head. The bleach lifted A LOT lighter than expected (nearly platinum! Can you believe that?! In one session!), so when she toned it, I had beautiful silver balayage hair. I grew out my virgin hair because my previous years of craving silver burnt me out due to multiple stylists not bleaching my hair evenly and toning the wrong shade (one even incorrectly dyed my hair TURQUOISE), and eventually I had damaged short pieces of hair. I told myself, "never again" due to how much trauma my hair had been through, but Jenny managed to get what I HAD WANTED FOR YEARS with one session and maintaining the health of my hair. Absolutely impressed.

My love for silver hair is reborn for now and I'm so happy I have beautiful locks to show off.

She was conservative with removing length at first, which I hugely appreciated since my last haircut (at a different salon) left me with uneven layers & a very awkwardly short section of hair I’m now trying to grow out. “First, I would like to say that if you have ever been thinking about trying a wig, but have not yet taken the leap, do it! It will be more that worth it. I am a girl who loves her short hair because it is most practical to my life, but there are times where I would like to have a longer style. I'm so happy I took this step.

I researched several retailers before choosing to visit Glamour Girl & Guys Hair. The reviews did not lead me astray. I was met at the door by Cassandra. She is so pleasant. I let her know it was my first time looking for a wig and had no idea what I was doing. She jumped right in and asked all the right questions to find what would suit me best. Her 31 years of experience really shown through. I ended up leaving with two beautiful wigs and the skills to care for them and wear them.

The prices are affordable and I will happily return when I am ready for my next look!
