I want to preface this post by saying we have not had our final appointment yet. If there is no update then that experience was consistent with the empathic and caring experience we've had thus-far. Our sweet girl was diagnosed with bone cancer. The vet has incredible bed side manners and has been more than accommodating to our questions/concerns as we grieve this loss. He and his staff met me on a personal level, sharing their own stories and empowering me during the hardest decision I've ever had to make. The staff has always been nice during the harder times with our pets. Regular appointments are a nightmare though. So many staff members and the wait time is always ridiculous. The wait in the lobby leads to another, even longer wait in the exam room. It makes me feel rushed when I finally get to see someone. The first couple of times I thought maybe it was because of an emergency appointment or something. But it is EVERY time. I will remember snacks and a good book next time.
I brought my rabbit, Cow, in today after an illness scare. Dr.Behrends and the vet tech, Chris, were beyond helpful, incredibly understanding, and were very gentle with my rabbit. After a previous poor experience at a different vet, I was very nervous, but Dr.B was amazing. Will definitely be seeing them in the future
