“I've been training at Precision for about a year now. It's a wonderful gym. Here are a few things I love about it;-The instruction is top notch. Professor Tyrone is easily one of the best martial arts instructors I've ever had. He breaks down his techniques into the right amount of detail, he's patient, he communicates effectively, and he takes the time to walk around and personally check on each student to make sure they're getting it. He also rolls with everyone instead of watching from the side. He's terrifying on the mats and he's always willing to help you improve your game.Coach Erik is the same way. He follows Professor Tyrone's mold but adds his own style. He's fantastic with the kids as well. My 6 year old son recently volunteered to help my wife with some chores at home and he said it was because "Coach Erik told me I can do hard things." His impact on both my son and myself has been hugely positive.-The vibe. Everyone is honestly so chill at this gym. It's infectious. I've never been concerned for my safety while rolling. There are no towering egos to dodge. Literally everyone is nice. It's almost weird, but in a really great kind of way. Everyone is quick to help whenever they can. A few months ago I asked an upper belt if he knew any stretches I could do on my sore shoulders. Dude wrote me out an entire physical therapy routine and walked me through each move to make sure I was doing them right. How cool is that?-The music! Usually if a gym has an MMA class on the schedule you can be sure you're gonna have to endure some form of garbage music at some point or another. I've yet to hear a song I don't like while training at Precision. It makes the workouts so much more fun. Recently The Ramones, Fugazi, Minor Threat, L7, and Nirvana have been in heavy rotation. There's a steady blend of punk, reggae, hip hop, and world music. It rules.Stop thinking about it and come try a class. You won't regret it. They give you an entire week free to try it out.“
