I love going to Dr. Baer's office. It is akin to time travel. No computers, no harried staff, no one that is testy because they are overworked and stressed to the gills. Teri at the front desk is as sweet as molasses. Fancy equipment isn't needed to do a good eye test. And if that is important you can find that anywhere. But what you don't find often enough is an eye doctor that is caring, competent and thorough. If you need referred to an ophthalmologist Dr Baer will refer you. Dr Baer reminds me of my doctors of 60 years ago. Calm, patient, kind. It's the best. Truly.

This was my first visit with Dr Baer as I am a newcomer to Corvallis. I have worn glasses now for 11 years. I am very satisfied with the staff I found them to be friendly, accommodating and patient. Dr Baer was wonderful, his many years of practice are apparent in his expertise and his poised demeanor. He gave easy to understand summary of his exam and was very gentle.

Best eye doctor I've ever seen. Skilled, knowledgeable, extremely kind, really takes the extra step to care for and about his patients. I cannot recommend highly enough, I drive across the state just to see him, he's worth the trip.
