I have a very high anxiety, reactive to other dogs, 90 lbs Great Dane cross, who is quite challenging to take anywhere... and also doesn't like his nails being done. I started taking him to The Dog Shop a few years ago, as they were willing to take him and work through his challenges. I have had nothing but great experiences taking him here! My dog over time has become much more relaxed when we go, and upon entering the shop he is excited to be there and to see the staff. That is not how he was previously. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and most importantly are knowledgeable about handling dogs, as well as grooming. Two important things in a dog grooming business! I highly recommend The Dog Shop.

I started bringing my Gordon setter to Lacey after he got into a briar patch on a hike. Since then, Lacey has taken exceptional care of him. She’s always polite & friendly to me, but more importantly, absolutely amazing with my dog! He is standoffish with people he doesn’t know, but he took to Lacey immediately. She’s dog behavior savvy, reads him well, and works at his pace to ensure his comfort & safety. Last week we were in a minor rear end collision on our way to our grooming appointment. Lacey was concerned for me, but, again, amazing with my dog, as was Lindsay. Luckily he was crated and we were driving slow, but it’s still a jar to be run into. Lacey let me know my dog was slightly off on his left hind leg and the vet was impressed Lacey caught it as it wasn’t overly obvious. Due to her observant behavior, my dog was able to take some meds & rest and is now back to normal. My boy will be a lifetime client of Lacey!
