Aim High Academy Of Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“My son has been enrolled at Aim High for the past 8 months and he is already on his 5th belt. Teacher Randall is AMAZING and truly great with all of the kids. He is so patient and encouraging that they all love and respect him so much. He teaches them way more than just the technique of Martial Arts, but also teaches them important life lessons such as parents being their number one teachers, focus, self discipline, confidence, first time listening, stranger danger, and how/ when to defend themselves. He is always willing to work with them and pushes them while also allowing them to work at a pace in which they are comfortable. Some of the kids are very shy when they start but he helps them come out of their shell when THEY are ready. The amount of focus, self discipline and techniques my son has gained over the last 8 months has been INCREDIBLE to witness. I thank Teacher Randall, Teacher Deb, Teacher Daniel and all of the Aim High staff for helping my son grow so much in such a short amount of time.“

“Discovering Choi's Tae Kwon Do in Beaverton, Oregon, was a turning point in my extensive martial arts journey. With over 50 years of Tae Kwon Do practice under my belt and having earned a 4th-degree black belt, I've had the privilege of training at more than 10 schools across the globe. Kilian's Martial Arts Center Martial Arts Schools

“David has been my trainer in boxing and muay thai for about a year and a half now and I cannot recommend him and his gym enough. Great group instruction and great 1-on-1 advice and correction from a trainer who has a wealth of experience. Pad work, bag work, shadow boxing, footwork drills, and light sparring--you'll do it all in this humble but functional gym. David has also trained champion fighters for those interested in competitive fighting, though there is no pressure for students to fight, and sparring with the other students is very safe and positive. Always a great workout. I've trained at Portland Thai Boxing and at gyms in Arizona and abroad, and Kilian's is subtly the best in my experience.“

Impact Jiu Jitsu Martial Arts Schools

“This is one of the main places I train, and I can't recommend it enough. This is the Impact headquarters, and it is where most of the higher belts in the Impact family train. Every class will have a high number of Brown/Black belts, and there are a lot of competition black belts. Michael Chapman, the head Black Belt, received his Black Belt from Chris Hauter, who is one of the dirty dozen. He's a 5th stripe black belt, and has been training jiu jitsu since 1991. You will rarely find a BB with the experience and knowledge Michael brings to the table. The gym is very large, very clean and very friendly. They have a lot of options in regards to classes with BJJ, MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai and Conditioning being a few of them. They offer a free week trial so you can get the feel of the gym and the vibe of the people. I'd highly recommend it.“
